JeffCo Voters' Guide for Precinct Committee Officers

Candidate statements by Democratic and Republican PCO candidates are not included in the official voters’ guides for Jefferson County and Washington state.

But the Jefferson County Democrats are doing the next best thing:

We invited all Democratic PCO candidates in contested and uncontested races to submit statements, biographies, and photographs for posting in this voters’ guide.

Candidate participation was voluntary. JCD received statements and biographies from 13 of the 33 candidates.

Let's get together outdoors!

Peninsula Democrats are holding a Picnic and Rally in Sequim, and we're inviting all our friends to spend some time together, listen to the music of Good Trouble, and hear from our speakers.

We'll gather at Carrie Blake Park on Sunday, July 24, at 1 p.m. Use the Fir Street entrance. Bring your own picnic and chairs.
Jefferson, Clallam, and Grays Harbor Democrats are the hosts, and we are inviting candidates and members of Indivisible groups, Sequim Voices for Health and Healing, and other allies to come enjoy some time together and hear from our speakers.
We will do some doorbelling that morning on behalf of legislative candidates Mike Chapman and Steve Tharinger.
If you would like to help with doorbelling, click on the link below. Also use this link if you'd like to help with doorbelling, phoning, or signs in the future. You can ask for signs, too.

Forecasts are heading in the wrong direction

There is a drought emergency declaration in the Dungeness River watershed on the Olympic Peninsula.

The current drought outlook for the Olympic Peninsula just took another step in the wrong direction. In their weekly update of drought conditions across the country, the U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM) changed its classification for the Olympic Peninsula region from “moderate” to “severe” drought. According to the USDM, a severe drought classification can bring potential impacts of likely crop and pasture damage, water shortages, and water restrictions. In response to current conditions, some communities and water systems on the peninsula have already begun anticipating low water supply. Read more
