Update re: Meals @ Democrats Deliver Event

150 150

Update for Democrats Deliver ticket holders:

We have just learned that we may not be able to increase our catering order to accommodate everyone who bought tickets after our August 20 deadline.  We hope to have good news for you tomorrow.

Please arrive no later than 2:30 pm to line up for a meal.  Please stop at the box office to get a wristband before lining up - we will be asking people to line up in two lines, based on the color of their wristband.   The two lines will be for those who bought tickets before the August 20 deadline,  and those who bought tickets after.  (Your position in your line will be first come, first served.)

If you are not sure when you made your ticket purchase, please contact Deborah Pedersen, 360-385-5147 before Sunday!

Watch for more messages from this address both about food availability and about what you'll need to know on Sunday about parking, time-table, etc.  Stay tuned!

Come join your fellow Democrats for food, drink, interesting conversation, and speeches from some of our great State and Local elected officials.

This event is a fundraiser to help us carry on our work electing Democrats in Jefferson County and beyond. Ticket price is $60 per person.

Doors will open at 2 PM and the bar in the Arts Building will also open then. Food service begins at 2:30 in the Arts Building. Speeches begin at 4 PM in the Erickson Building.

Confirmed speakers include:

Bob Ferguson, candidate for Governor
Nick Brown, candidate for Attorney General
Kevin Van de Wege, candidate for Commissioner of Public Lands
Dave Upthegrove, candidate for Commissioner of Public Lands
Mike Chapman, candidate for State Senate, 24th Legislative District
Steve Tharinger, candidate for Representative, 24th Legislative District

We expect more confirmations from additional speakers in the coming days.

We will not be serving salmon this year. The kitchen at the Erickson Building that we have used in the past is now being used by Jefferson Health as they renovate their own kitchen. Instead we will have several choices prepared by Mo-Chilli BBQ. Choices include beef brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, and a jack fruit vegetarian dish. You will be able to make your meal choice when you buy your ticket.

Here is a link to buy tickets and make meal choices. If you buy your ticket by August 19 you are assured of getting your meal choice. If you buy after the 19th you might have to settle for a different choice.

Voting methods will be similar to those used at the JCD reorganization last December.
